Obama Nation, or Obamanation? (that's a play on words. Like "abomination", okay?) @ 08:59 on Wednesday, November 07, 2012

Watching the Election play out last night was surreal. When I was younger I never understood how older people can get so riled up over who the President is. But now that I'm the ripe old age of 159, I understand how someone can get super emotional about it. You're not just voting for the best man, you're voting for the direction of where you want the country to go.
SO, I wake up and the first text I get on my phone is from my mom; "Obama won again, brace for the worst. I love you." Oh man, I think she is in denial that I am a big Obama supporter. I know a lot of you are upset, and I know a lot of you think the world is going to end now that Obama has another 4 years to ruin this country. But, the majority of us have spoken. Romney lost by an overwhelming number, and he went out graciously. Even if Romney had won, the world wouldn't have ended. Obama was just a better candidate and Romney didn't do the things the majority of people were looking for. That and a combination of Sandy, Jeep, and Rape comments really put Romney in the corner at the end of his campaign. You win some you lose some. I'm also glad my Facebook didn't explode with anti-american comments from my right oriented friends. In fact I was the least gracious on Facebook. I was spamming my twitter with retarded pro Obama non-sense all day for the occasion. It was funny at the time, I didn't offend anyone directly, and I regret nothing. I hope that everyone can continue to be friendly and have optimism for the future just like we did before Election day. Don't let Politics and Religion separate you from your friends. Accepting diversity is more important than anyone can know.
